Who's behind the door

Meet the founders

Q Fitness isn't a franchise with a regional manager. It's one gym, in one town, built by three people who train here themselves.

What’s the story behind Q Fitness?

It’s actually pretty simple. We’re a gym built by trainers, for trainers and members.

Q Fitness started in 1992, when Michael opened the doors with one idea in mind: “THE REAL AMERICAN GYM.”

To us, that phrase isn’t political. It represents opportunity, independence, and the freedom to build something of your own. That philosophy is still at the heart of Q Fitness today.

We don’t believe you should have to sign a long-term contract just to work out. We don’t believe your gym should constantly raise your rate. And we believe trainers should have the opportunity to build their own business and their own clientele while giving members the attention they deserve.

No contracts means we have to earn your membership every single month.

And your workout shouldn’t be dictated by somebody else’s business hours. Whether you work a 9–5, overnight shifts, early mornings, or just prefer training when everyone else is asleep, Q Fitness is built around your schedule with 24/7 access.

So how did Q get to Florida?

More than 30 years later, Mike, Tige, and Tyler shared the same passion for fitness and saw an opportunity in Babcock Ranch.

Not simply to open another gym but to create the kind of gym we wanted to see here. A place where members are the priority. A place with serious equipment, incredible trainers, 24/7 access, and an atmosphere where beginners and experienced lifters can train under the same roof.

But somewhere along the way, we realized this could become bigger than fitness. We want Q Fitness to help strengthen the community around it, supporting local businesses, promoting health and wellness, creating partnerships, and building a culture where everyone feels like they have a place to train.

We’re excited to know our members by name, not membership number.

We’re proud to support our military, veterans, first responders, law enforcement, teachers, families, athletes, beginners, and everyone willing to put in the work to become a better version of themselves.

This is where Q started. Babcock Ranch is the next chapter.

Open 24/7, 365 days a year

Built around real schedules

We know life doesn’t always run from nine to five. Nurses, police officers, first responders, and other overnight workers may be sleeping during the day and working while most of the town is asleep.

That’s why Q Fitness offers 24/7 access. Whether you train before an early shift, after working overnight, or whenever your schedule allows, the gym is here when you need it. Your workday may look different, but your opportunity to take care of yourself shouldn’t.

The team

The coaching roster is being finalized ahead of opening. As each coach is confirmed, the card below becomes a face, a first name, what they're actually certified in, and the kind of member they're best with. No stock photography, no "our expert team" with nobody named.

Guess who? — Coach 1

Guess who? — Coach 2

Guess who? — Coach 3

Real names, faces and certifications replace this the moment they're confirmed — this is a deliberate placeholder for the reveal, not a stand-in nobody filled in.
